LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Kennard Michael Weever believes the value of an individual is measured by their involvement and impact in their immediate community. He has an extraordinary passion to help all people discover their God ordained potentials and connect deeper to the kingdom work of God. He has extensive experience as an effective counselor, community leader and local pastor who tries to lead by example. He is dedicated to the work of bettering the community and challenging others to discover their hidden potentials. Rev. Weever is fully capable of communicating the Word of God in a relevant manner to address the needs of growing communities in a way that is understood by all ages and cultures.


Pastor Weever was educated in the Atlantic City and Pleasantville, New Jersey school systems. His college years were spent at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Post Bachelorette studies were completed at Seton Hall University in East Orange, New Jersey where he matriculated in School Counseling. He has worked as a professional school counselor for more than 15 years. He is currently a College & Career Specialist for Gwinnett County Public Schools.


Ministry preparation time was spent at the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia and Campbell University Divinity School in Buies Creek, North Carolina. He has served as chairman of the junior deacon ministry at Greater Exodus Baptist Church in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He also served as Youth Minister at Rainbow Park Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia and ministry roles at New Life Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia. In addition, Pastor Weever was the Youth Minister at Baptist Grove Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. Pastor Kennard Weever was the founding pastor of the Ray of Hope Family Worship Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ and served as pastor from 2006 to 2010. In November 2012, he planted Rejuvenation & Empowerment Christian Center Church in Raleigh, North Carolina where he serves as the lead pastor until June 2014.

Pastor Weever is a member of the board of directors of Women of Vision, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia, TCC Ministries of Raleigh, North Carolina and the Pleasantville School District Alumni Association. In 2007 he was nominated and inducted into the Madison Who’s Who for Business and Professional leaders, and in 2008 he was inducted into the Princeton Premier for Exceptional Leadership. He served as the Parent Representative on the PleasanTech Academy Charter School Board of Education in Pleasantville, New Jersey.


In May 2018, he became the senior pastor of Northeast Community Church, now known as One Life Church, in Gwinnett County, Georgia. He is a premier voice for innovative methods & understands the ever-changing requirements to be the church in a different way to address the growing needs of youth and young families. Pastor Kennard Michael Weever is definitely a man on a mission to challenge people to not do church, but BE THE CHURCH.


He is married Mrs. Esung Gylaine Weever.  They are the proud parents of two daughters, Genesis Odette and Essence Marlene, and one son, Michael-Samuel Weever. They reside in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
